This is a personal message from Trevor – Chairman of the Dawlish Celebrates Carnival Committee:
“I would like to thank everyone in the town for the way they have thrown themselves into Carnival week and made it fantastic! The Committee is a small group of volunteers who have worked exceptionally hard to make the week happen.
I’d like to thank the Town Council for their unprecedented support, Teignmouth and Dawlish CIC and the many businesses who have sponsored events as we really could not have been done it without them. Special thanks also to the Dawlish Air Show committee for their support and help in making it possible for the Red Arrows to perform yesterday. I think you all will agree it was a really stunning Red Arrows performance.
It has been a fantastic week with fantastic support and a fantastic community spirit. Thank you Dawlish!! We look forward to seeing you all again next year.”

Thanks to Roma and Tony Everest for organsing it, the brillant Band Piping Hot, everyone who came and enjoyed themselves, who gave prizes and Dawlish Community Transport.......this is almost like an Oscars speech. Over £200 was raised !
Slight delay in getting the photos and videos due to last night's madness!!

WE NEED YOUR SUGGESTIONS!!
Lots of people have told us they want to support Dawlish Celebrates Carnival 2017 (12-19 August 2017) by making a small financial contribution, so we've decided to create a 'Friends of Dawlish Celebrates Carnival' Scheme. Details are being worked out but we have a problem - we want a catchy name, rather than just being 'Friends' and the short version of FODCC isn't exactly great to remember.....
SO....Can you suggest a name for our 'Friends' Scheme to be launched in the next few months? Please only clean and printable suggestions! There will be a small prize if your suggestion is chosen!
So come on......suggest a name - help us out!
